    store development

    Changes or repairs to our store both internally and externally is dealt with by our Store Development team. Instrumental in making our colleagues and customers experience a far more enjoyable one with their innovative designs in product development and store layout or quick response to any maintenance required.

    marketing

    Our Marketing team are responsible for a huge amount including our advertising and promotional material both internally and externally, it could be new point of sale in store or a new TV advert that we’re shooting. If you see or hear anything relating to Carpetright, chances are these guys are behind it.

    buying & merchandising

    Our Buying and Merchandising teams work in conjunction, monitoring and analysing sales figures and stock levels to ensure maximum profitability and availability to our customers as well as ensuring we have the right product choice and its presented in the right way.

    finance

    Our Finance team is fairly sizeable due to the importance of their work and the size of our business. Commercial Finance is responsible for understanding our business performance and helping key decision makers to make the right calls around both day-to-day and long range strategic investment. Central Finance look after each department’s respective budgets, working closely with stakeholders across the business to set budgets then make sure they are adhered to. Our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams handle the transactions of payments into and out of the business.

    property

    Managing our Property portfolio throughout the UK and Ireland, the team are responsible for lease and rent negotiations, site identification as well as any landlord or tenant queries.

    HR

    Within the HR team you’ll find our HR Services, Recruitment, L&D and Colleague Relations teams. The Resourcing team manage the attraction and selection of new hires into the business; the Learning & Development team supporting colleagues through induction and on-boarding as well as ongoing training and development; the HR Services team who manage our reward and benefits strategy as well as the payroll system.

    IT/digital

    What with most processes relying on various programmes and software, our IT team play an integral role in ensuring that all of the relevant systems and equipment are in perfect working order or if there are any glitches, they are fixed immediately. Our Service Desk is there to assist our colleagues along with 2nd and 3rd line support supported by our Project Managers and Business Analysts. Our Digital team work closely with e-commerce and marketing are responsible for our multi channel online presence as well as monitoring the performance of various social platforms.

    We realise that it isn’t always convenient to come into store so our Telesales team are on hand should you want to make an order or enquiry over the telephone. A knowledgeable bunch, they will be able to offer you a fantastic service from the comfort of your own home.     Retail Operations is the key communication link between our Store Support Office functions and store teams. It’s the team that manages the day-to-day communications, ensuring our stores have the best possible support. Covering several key operational areas including, store communications, Home Flooring Surveyor and Fitter support.

    A hive of activity 24 hours a day, taking delivery of product from suppliers around the world before being distributed to our stores and customers.

    A senior role within the Retail team, reporting into the Retail Director, this role will be responsible for managing a whole division which consists of a number of Regional Managers and 100+ stores.

    This role manages a number of stores within a specific region, a region generally consists of between 20-30 stores. The role is to lead, develop and inspire your team of Store Managers and colleagues to deliver outstanding service to all customers resulting in the achievement of the business results.

Execute and deliver fantastic commercial results on a consistent basis as well as maintaining the highest standards within your store.

    Assisting and deputising for the Store Manager, to support, execute and deliver a fantastic customer journey along with commercial results on a consistent basis as well as maintaining the highest standards within store.

     

    customer advisor

    To deliver an exceptional, consultative customer experience, keeping the customer at the heart of everything that you do by achieving the highest standards of service along with a strong commercial performance across all KPI’s.

     

    home flooring

    surveyor

    Undertake pre-arranged visits to customers in their homes and measure areas to be fitted with appropriate merchandise. Provide estimates and consultation resulting in providing our customers the best possible solution for the best possible price.

    administrator

    As part of the in-store team, you are responsible for ensuring that all administration processes are followed accurately and consistently. Ensuring losses are kept to a minimum through accurate stock checks as well as supporting the Store and Regional Administration Supervisor where necessary.

    warehouse

    To assist with incoming deliveries of stock as well as outgoing customer orders, also to take responsibility for making sure the Store Warehouse is clean, tidy and free from hazards. Contributing to providing the best possible customer experience.
